Are you looking forward to the continuation of the Golden Swan series? Come and shorten the wait with an interview with Marta Dancingerová aka Bára Vesela.
Marta, how will the beginning of the autumn season be for Bára?
Bára will once again have to deal with the inconveniences associated with her great love, Mr. Kučera. They are not welcome, so they will have to overcome other obstacles. The situation has become relatively tight as far as politics are concerned. It’s all a bit sharper. Girls come into conflict with soldiers, which are logically very unpleasant situations. And, of course, Bára uses her outspokenness to show everywhere that they don’t want Germans in the Golden Swan. This is how her first days in the autumn season will go.
Won’t the audience miss the spark between Peter and Bára?
No, they certainly won’t. That’s certainly a motif that audiences like, so it’s going to stick around.
Do viewers ever ask you how this story will turn out?
Well, surprisingly they don’t ask. But I know they’re rooting for us. They would like Petr and Bára to be together. But if they will end up together or not, I don’t even know for sure.
How did you get along with Bára during the first six months?
I feel that Bára Veselá is already a part of my nature. We are in complete symbiosis. I liked her from the beginning and I really enjoyed her as a character. I continue to enjoy it and I hope that he does not lose his sovereignty and common sense, which he always knows how to use at the right moment. I like that about her.
You say you are already in symbiosis. Does Bára Veselá have anything from Marta Dancingerová today?
Sometimes I have the feeling that someone is secretly eavesdropping on me here, because sometimes I mess something up and then I find out that it starts to appear in the series. I had one wish for Bára, which should come true next season. So I’m quite curious about it. Otherwise, we have a lot in common from the beginning. When I was younger, I was also quite brash and had no respect for all authority.
Adam Vacula was completely unknown before the Golden Swan, and that changed very quickly. How did you get along on set?
I’m having a good time with Adam. He’s a good partner, mate. We have known Adam, but also Beata since school. So I knew what I was getting into.
The atmosphere in the Golden Swan thickens with regard to the political situation. It was reflected, for example, in the depiction of typical symbols of that time directly on the set. How do you perceive this new circumstance?
It may not sound very good, but it is actually a pleasant circumstance for the actor. You move in a cramped atmosphere, and because of that there is something to play for. I think we all welcomed it.
The saleswomen’s uniforms also underwent a transformation.
Yes, we have new dresses in a different color and above all from a different, slightly more pleasant material. We also liked the original uniforms, which were very nice, but if you spend a lot of time in anything, you get a little tired of it after a while. So we welcomed this change with enthusiasm.
What are your plans for the summer?
I am looking forward to having time off, as we have half the summer reserved for our recreation. We will definitely go somewhere with the family. I will play two shows under the Žižkov Tower with the Palas Theater. I didn’t take on another summer production so that I could rest after the last very demanding months at work.
