Oprah Winfrey has an Emmy nomination for her much-discussed interview with Prince Harry and his wife and actress Meghan Markle.

The much-discussed interview, which was broadcast worldwide in March, has been nominated in the ‘Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Special’ category. The confessions of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex explained a little bomb among the British royal family, who were accused by the couple of “latent racism,” which the family vehemently denied.
What exactly went on behind closed palace walls, probably no one will ever know. It didn’t stop the American television mogul from responding to it on his Oprah’s, with the necessary theatricality. They seem to like that enough at the Emmys for a nomination.
Whether Winfrey can place another Emmy in her already richly filled trophy cabinet – she already won three, in 1989, 1993 and 2000 – we will know on September 19, when the statuettes will be awarded.
