Valencia
In this first week of the campaign, Carlos Flores assures that it is the first electoral campaign that he has led, “marveling at everything he sees” and listening to the people a lot “because the campaign also serves to listen to the citizens”
Today he posted on Twitter that it was his last day of class, after 34 years teaching uninterruptedly, as Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Valencia. In the Window he reiterates, as in social networks, “that it is time to step aside to continue with his dedication but in another way, in politics, serving his country.”
Asked about his sentence in 2002 for a habitual crime of psychological violence against his ex-wife, Flores has explained that “he has been explaining it for five months” he maintains that he made a mistake a quarter of a century ago, that he paid for it, he has made his repentance clear to the appropriate person, and since then he can boast with a service sheet “that he already they would like other candidates”. He believes that he can aspire to the presidency of the Generalitat with his head held high.
On sexist violence, a scourge of our society, and that its formation, unlike the rest of the political parties, has never defended the law on gender violence in force in our country. Flores assures that if Vox governs “no woman will be left unprotected Faced with any threat of violence, “Vox condemns gender violence”, what it does not defend is the lack of effectiveness of the measures that are adopted because “there is an increasingly violent society, there are more and more violations”. Vox proposes, the aggravation of the crimes due to violations, the extension of cases in which the reviewable permanent prison would be applied”.
Asked if he would close À Punt as he has come to announce at some point since he was a candidate, he qualifies that “it is still a young television station and it should have a chance, although what would have to be changed is the system for appointing the director”.
In health matters, “Vox does not have a machinery to privatize everything” as he explained, what he intends is to demonstrate that everything public is not good, “we should return to formulas of collaboration between the public and private when necessary”.
And the same in terms of housing, promoting housing construction so that “with a greater supply there is greater demand and prices fall”
In fiscal matters, Vox is committed to spending less, “the Valencian government should not pay for everything, like Pedro Sánchez’s pilgrim idea of lowering the entrance to the cinema for the elderly.” Eliminating the inheritance tax would be the first measure to apply.
As for the reform of the financing system, when Vox enters the next debate “it will say the same thing in the Congress of Deputies and in the Corts, “not like other parties do.”
The Vox candidate is confident that in these elections “he can join those parties that want to make a change of course for the Valencian Community, he is confident that he will grow above the polls, and advance in being the first party of the Valencians,” and the polls are going to fall short.
