INTERVIEW. Vianney, cash coach, new head of The Voice, on TF1

Singer Vianney is the show’s new juror The Voice, broadcast this Saturday February 6, 2021 on TF1. He joined in the famous red armchairs Amel Bent, Marc Lavoine and Florent Pagny. Interview with the youngest coach in the history of telecrochet.

How did you experience this adventure?

I enjoyed it ! It responds so much to what I love to do. Discuss musical questions to try to get the best out of a project, a proposal. There, we do it for artists who are not yet skilled in the art. They show a very beautiful spirit, a beautiful innocence. I felt blessed to participate in this season of The Voice.

Was it scary before I got there?

No. It took me a long time to say yes, before I got used to the idea, but simply because it was too early. I had to work with others in the studio, a lot, to gain a kind of legitimacy that I didn’t feel I had before. But if it had been scary, it wouldn’t have been the right time!

As a coach, do you seem straightforward enough?

It’s my personality in life. I’m like this all the time. I assume that my intentions are always good. All I wish is the best for the person in front of me. How I like being pushed around to achieve certain things and progress. The Voice, it’s a working studio where we move forward.

Did you expect such wealth?

Yes ! Because I know the people who shape this show are open, curious, cultured. I was calm about it.

You seem to have been well received …

Really ! It’s like a small family. It’s hard to imagine because The Voice is a huge machine. There are a lot of resources, but it makes people work well. And all this work that viewers don’t necessarily see is all about happiness!

Has your creativity been stimulated?

For sure ! I like to remind talents that we all bring something to each other. They also receive a lot among themselves. Maybe even more than from the coaches. The collective effervescence is great.
