Our Océane guide is waiting for you in New York!

  • Laurene: Hello Océane, can you tell us in which neighborhood you live in New York and what you like there?
  • Océane: Hello Laurène! I have lived in the Manhattan Valley neighborhood on the Upper West Side for 3 years. What I like the most is obviously Central Park! A real breath of air and space when you live in a small studio. I also like its restaurants, which are varied and quieter than those in Midtown or Downtown Manhattan. A very family neighborhood and it shows!
  • Laurene: In addition to being a professional New York City guide, you have one particularity… Can you tell us about your other passion?
  • Océane: Of course ! Before being a professional guide, I was an actress and filmmaker. I studied audiovisual in Paris before moving to New York to study acting. I trained at the New York Film Academy by following the “acting for film” specialty. I have done a lot of figuration on series such as Succession, Jack Ryan, Pose, Manifest, The Code… While waiting to land the leading role, I audition and continue to study my art.
  • Laurene: Do you have an anecdote about a shoot or a star in New York?
  • Océane: The great thing about New York is that you often bump into celebrities. My craziest experience was meeting Daniel Radcliffe, the actor who plays Harry Potter. He was coming out of a magnificent townhouse, the famous townhouses. A magical moment especially since I have been a big fan since my adolescence!
  • Laurene: If you had to recommend a Broadway musical for French speakers, which would you recommend?
  • Océane: Without hesitation, TheTina Turner Musical! A real American show with crazy energy carried by the incredible performance of Adrienne Warren in the role of Tina Turner.
  • Laurene: New York in 3 adjectives?
  • Océane: Diverse, lively and spectacular!
  • Laurene: Finally, what’s your favorite New York quote?
  • Océane: The sentence of Simone de Beauvoir: “There is something in the air of New York which makes sleep useless”.
