The first Exhibition of Intervened Books will be inaugurated on Monday, July 3 at 3:00 p.m. in the Antigua Casa Beban with the accompaniment of the Secretary of Culture and Education of the Municipality of Ushuaia.
The initiative, which can be visited until the 14th of the same month, will be free of charge, and will present to visitors the process of artistic recycling of torn and outdated books, thus creating new original works.
The Secretary of Culture and Education, Belén Molina, said that “it makes us very happy to accompany this initiative of the Sarmiento Popular Library to exhibit recently created works on Book Day.”
In this line, the Secretary valued “the great work that the Library has been carrying out for so many years, an institution that is close to its centenary, the link between heritage and literature is essential, and without a doubt we must continue to strengthen all this work”.
“As always, the management of Mayor Walter Vuoto, we continue the work articulating with the institutions of our city, making the cultural spaces of the municipality available to bring diverse proposals to the entire community,” said the official.
