For the second week in a row, the Don Bosco Basketball takes the field on Sunday afternoon; but if last Sunday’s match, the derby with US, was 0km, this week the team Giuseppe Di Manno he has to get on the bus, to face a trip that is certainly not very close.
The rossoblu, in fact, are on stage in Cuneo, where they are expected from Great Collegea team still looking for their first victory of the tournament. The team led by Francesco PersicoIn fact, they lost to Vado in the opening round and then lost in extra time against Campus Piemonte.
In the roster of the Piedmontese, the strong forward Emilio De Santis stands out, last season in Interregional B, in Savigliano, who averaged 12.5 points, third best scorer of the Cuneo team after the expert – 29 years old – point guard Simone Maccario and the small forward Giorgio Manfredi who scored 22 and 13 points respectively.
Tough match, but certainly not prohibitive for Don Bosco Basketball, which faces the trip to Piedmont with the desire to do well, in the hope of grabbing the first two external points of its championship.
The rossoblu coach also says it, Giuseppe Di Mannowhich presents the challenge thus: “On Sunday we will face a very experienced team, Cuneo, who had a complicated start, with two defeats in as many performances. We will have an excellent roster in front of us in which the guard Maccario, the point guard Manfredi and the 3/4 De Santis stand out. We are approaching the match after a week in which we have had to deal with some ailments, in the hope of being able to recover for Sunday, all the boys now not at their best. As always we will try to play a good match, with the aim of taking our first two away points of the tournament”
