As of this Monday, November 15, as provided in the Supreme Decree 167-2021-PCM, passengers of the interprovincial land transport service over 45 years of age will only be able to board if they prove their two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

According to the standard, this complies with the four alert levels (moderate, high, very high and extreme); In addition, it serves to promote vaccination against the coronavirus (COVID-19), as indicated by the Minister of Health, Hernando Cevallos.

Cevallos remarked that many people have to travel long hours inside a bus and that the objective is that, when they are eventually infected, they do not develop complications of the disease.

“Although the vaccine is voluntary, no citizen has the right to infect another citizen. By not being vaccinated, the chances of contagion are greater “, expressed about this measure.

“If you travel in an interprovincial bus, which has to travel for several hours, with a person sitting next to you, you have the right to be less likely to get infected.”, He added on the subject.

On the other hand, another measure that will take effect from this Monday, November 15, indicates that health sector workers must have a complete vaccination to carry out their tasks in person at their work centers.

Curfew

According to the legal device, the curfew (compulsory social immobilization) in Lima and Callao will now begin at 2 in the morning and goes until 4 in the morning the next day.

It is worth remembering that until Sunday, October 16, the restrictive measure began at 1 in the morning, and until September 3, it began at midnight.

On the other hand, this weekend facilities will be provided for mobilization during the early morning for the group of people who are scheduled to apply doses of vaccines against COVID-19.

Private cars may circulate

Lima and Callao do not have the restriction of the use of private cars on Sundays, while interprovincial transport in both places will work without restrictions. This means that on Sunday, November 14, cars will be allowed.
