INTERPELLATION OF THE PANA-AFRICAN ACTIVIST IN PARIS: But what did Kémi Seba get in France?

The information had the effect of a bomb; as it surprised more than one. This concerns the arrest of the activist of Beninese origin, Gilles Robert Stellio Capo Chichi, better known as Kémi Seba, on October 14, in a restaurant located in the 15th arrondissement in Paris, France. Since then, questions have arisen from everywhere. What do we blame him for? What did he go looking for in France that he never stopped denouncing? Should we see a cause and effect link between this arrest and the latest socio-political upheavals in Benin, in particular the affair of an aborted attempted coup in which his name is cited? The days to come will situate us more. At the very least, we know that the noble fight for the emancipation of Africa, led by the Pan-African activist, does not only make people happy. Indeed, there are many who see their interests threatened to the point that they will not hesitate to pick trouble if they have the opportunity. Isn’t that what led to him being expelled manu militari from certain African capitals where he had gone as part of the activities of his Pan-Africanist Emergencies movement? Isn’t that also what caused him to be stripped of his French nationality just a few months ago? In any case, this is proof for those who still doubt it, that Kémi Seba is disturbing. It disturbs the sleep of certain leaders if it has not become their itchy skin.

If he wishes to be in line with the ideal he defends, Kémi Seba would benefit from turning his back on France

In doing so, it is up to him to know how to maintain reason by avoiding giving in to the risk of being criticized for a lack of consistency with the fight he has been waging for several years. Because, what activity does he intend to carry out in a country that he rightly or wrongly presents as being the champion of imperialism? If he sought to fantasize through global advertising, we can say that he achieved his goal. On the other hand, if he showed imprudence to the point of being treated like a scoundrel, it is nothing more and nothing less than a humiliation with multiple repercussions. Because, we must fear, after the fact, that he will be extradited to Cotonou if the Beninese authorities who are ardently looking for him, make the request. We have good reasons to think so, especially since certain sources affirm that he stayed in France with the aim of meeting opponents of Patrice Talon‘s regime. While we’re at it, why didn’t he meet up with his friends in Moscow, whose ally he has become for some time? Or did he think that the Nigerien diplomatic passport he has could allow him to taunt France to the point of carrying out “subversive” activities there? In any case, if he wishes to be in line with the ideal he defends, Kémi Seba would benefit from turning his back on France to set up his quarters in the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) of which he is ideologically very close.
