Internship at the Consulate General Sydney – Foreign Office

Would you like to get to know the tasks and working methods at a German diplomatic mission first hand?

The Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Sydney offers one Full-time internship for a period of at least 6 weeks to a maximum of 3 months.

The following requirements you have to bring:

• You are already in Australia, ideally in New South Wales
• You have a visa that allows you to do an internship and is valid at least until the end of your internship
• German nationality
• good German language skills
• Enrollment at a university or college
• You need a course-related Compulsory or compulsory internship
• For bachelor’s degree programs: completion of the third semester at the moment the internship begins

We offer:

• Getting to know the activities and tasks of a German diplomatic mission abroad
• Active participation in the processing of applications from all areas of the legal and consular departments
• Collaboration in other areas such as politics, press and public relations and administration
• To compensate for existing financial burdens, you will receive a taxable expense allowance of EUR 300 per month.
