As part of this global monitoring strategy, the Traction Electrique department has launched the development of a new system called Camescat. The latter aims to measure the section of the contact wire to anticipate the replacement of the catenary wires and to avoid possible incidents linked to the catenary rupture.
The Camescat system is installed on a measuring train traveling at commercial speed. Its principle consists of filming the catenary using a camera-laser system and measuring the position of the contact wire and the remaining section from the images.
The Intern will be responsible for participating in the process of metrological validation of the system:
1- Data generation (Camescat system and image simulator).
2- Addition of unit tests for the validation of the treatment process.
3- Analysis, qualification and preparation of data from different sources (Camescat, trolley, ESC).
4- Performing a parametric study to maximize the performance of the treatment process.
5- Setting up a tool for analyzing and comparing temporal data.
