Internet users vote for the most beautiful cathedral in France and it is located… in the Tarn!

It is Albi that Internet users have designated in a fight of likes on Facebook.

A tournament featuring the most beautiful cathedrals in France has been launched by the Facebook page of the Henoo application several weeks ago… and a fight of fierce likes led the monument of Albi to the gold medal, after a final against the cathedral of Reims, a semi-final against the cathedral of Bourges and a single formality in the quarter-final against the cathedral of Orleans.

Hundreds of Internet users got caught up in the game. The knockout tournament will have seen Notre-Dame de Paris, the monuments of Metz, Amiens, Angoulême, Clermont-Ferrand, Strasbourg or even Marseille disappear… before crowning Sainte-Cécile cathedral in Albi.

The cathedral won a week of promotion on the Henoo application, which allows users to share information related to local heritage and culture.

No Rodez VS Albi…

We simply regret the lack of rivalry between Aveyron and Tarn in this tournament, since the cathedral of Rodez was not one of the participants.

But the department may have the opportunity to shine in other areas since the Facebook page Henoo organizes other competitions… The castles tournament has just been launched, with a first face-to-face between Versailles (Yvelines) and Castelnaud (Dordogne).
