Internet bonus without Isee, is it possible to change the contract?

Infratel Italia, the company of the ministry of economic development that is managing the so-called connectivity program, has recently published a public consultation relative to the “Phase 2 internet bonus for families “. Soon, therefore, everyone will be able to request a 300 euro internet voucher. In fact, no income limit linked to the ISEE has been established for this bonus.
The Infratel Italia document provides some useful clarifications regarding this incentive; for example, as regards the signing of contracts or the possibility of withdrawal. Let’s see better what it is.

Phase 2 internet bonus for families, what it is and who it is

The “Phase 2 Family Voucher Plan”, as stated in the Infratel Italia document, consists of an incentive equal to 300 euros for the activation of an internet connection, at least 30 Mbps in download.
The voucher is for families who:

  • they don’t have a connection yet;
  • have an internet connection with a speed of less than 30 Mbps.

No income limit linked to the ISEE is required for this bonus and can be requested by all families, obviously until all the resources allocatedequal to 407.5 million euros.
The voucher will be issued in the form of a discount on the activation price and on the amount of the service delivery fees up to 24 months and will include the supply of the related electronic devices
(CPE).

Is it possible to sign a contract with another operator?

As explained by Infratel Italia itself, with the public consultation a few days ago, “there is no obligation on the part of the beneficiary to remain bound by the contract for which the voucher was used”. The beneficiary can change operator and use the residual amount of the internet bonus to sign a new contract.

The connectivity levels, in this case, must continue to be at least the previous ones.
In any case, it will be given the possibility to withdraw from the contract through all the usual deactivation channels. In case of withdrawal, the beneficiary will lose the right to the remaining part of the voucher, and the contribution will be due to the operator until the same date of withdrawal (termination of the voucher).
