The Oslo police are investigating whether there is a connection between the shooting and the stabbing:

– The reason for this is that the people involved belong to the same circles, police inspector Grete Metlid has stated.

There is still an intense manhunt for the two men who are wanted internationally after the shooting in Oslo at the weekend, where two men were taken to hospital with injuries.

They are charged with complicity in attempted murder or attempted murder, and the police released a photo of the man they believe opened fire on Wednesday:

WANTED: According to the police, this photo shows one of the accused earlier in the evening, before the shooting.

According to VG’s information, the accused are two men in their 20s, who both have previously been convicted. At least one of them is connected to the gang Satudarah, according to VG’s information.

The international MC club is a so-called self percentage clubself percentage clubThe one percent term derives from the notion that 99% of the population are law-abiding citizens, while one percent consists of people who want to stand on the side of society and the other motorcycle communities, as an outlaw, an “outlaw”. Source: The Norwegian Police Directorate’s report “The police’s fight against motorcycle gangs in the period 2011–2015” which established itself in Stavanger in 2014, but which is said to have strengthened in the Oslo area during the pandemic.

Another man was charged, but was released from custody on Tuesday, and is no longer charged in the case.

The offended men in their 30s and 40s are supposed to be leaders in the criminal gang Young Guns.

IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CENTER: The shooting incident at the weekend happened at the National Theater in Oslo.

– We came out early and said that it was not random guests who were attacked, says police attorney Marit Aurdal to VG.

She leads the investigation into the stabbing in Lillestrøm, where a masked man entered a nightclub on the night of Saturday 3 December. A man was sent to hospital with knife injuries.

Two people have the status of offended in the case, a total of eight people have been charged.

One of them is still on the run and wanted internationally, confirms the police attorney.

– Several of the accused are associated with Satudarah, she says.

MC CLUB: Satudarah has members all over the world. Here from a gathering in the Netherlands in 2011.

– Some have a potential for violence

Aurdal does not want to comment on how many of the accused are associated with the MC club, but the police believe it is a majority.

– Some people here have a potential for violence. Several have also previously been convicted of violence, says Aurdal.

Three of the accused after the stabbing in Lillestrøm were sentenced in 2021 for serious violence and deprivation of liberty.

Police attorney Aurdal says she does not have the impression that Satudarah is about to establish itself in Lillestrøm.

– I don’t think it’s the first time they’ve been in Lillestrøm, but we don’t have a history of that. In the investigation, we want to find answers to why they were in Lillestrøm on the day in question.

In a decision from 2020, Lillestrøm municipal council describes the criminal MC gangs as an unwanted social problem. The politicians decided to use the legislation as far as possible to prevent them from establishing themselves in the municipality.

VG spoke to a woman who witnessed the bar fight in Lillestrøm. She described seeing dark-clad people walk up to a table where another man was sitting.

– I saw that he became quick-tempered, and it escalated very quickly. It was like lighting dynamite, the woman said.

Rejects gang affiliation

VG has contacted the lawyers of both victims.

– My client is deeply affected and is still on sick leave after the incident, says assistance lawyer Line Isabel Aaløkken at Djerv law firm.

Aaløkken says that he was seriously injured as a result of the assault, but does not want to go into more detail about the incident itself in the media.

– He has absolutely no connection to these circles, and struggles even to understand the background to the attack, says Aaløkken to VG.

Lawyer Sugin Varatharajan represents the other victim.

– He’s fine, all things considered. This is something that characterizes him, says Varatharajan to VG.

The lawyer confirms that his client has been questioned.

– He is confronted with the fact that the police believe several of the perpetrators have connections to the environment. But he has no knowledge of any of the persons in question or Satudarah, says Varatharajan.

– Is your client associated with a criminal environment?

– He is confronted with the same thing. And he does not belong to any environment. He does not understand why the media or the police have referred to it as a gang settlement. He doesn’t agree with that either.
