Novak Djokovic’ father Srdjan reacted angrily after the tennis star was expelled immediately before the Australian Open. “The assassination attempt on the best athlete in the world is over, 50 bullets in Novak’s chest. However, he supports a 17-year-old player, this is Nole, a man, a brother, see you in Paris (at the French Open on May 22 until June 5; editor’s note)”, Srdjan Djokovic told Serbian media and then posted this statement in an Instagram story. It is not clear who is meant by the 17-year-old. One possibility would be the Australian Thanasi Kokkinakis, who is actually 25 and recently celebrated his first ATP Tour victory in Adelaide. In recent years, he had been thrown back again and again by injuries. Novak Djokovic was now one of the prominent well-wishers alongside Roger Federer. As part of the entry issue surrounding Djokovic, his father even compared the 34-year-old to the Savior: “Jesus was crucified, everything was done to him, and he endured it and still lives among us.
