International Space Station Expected to Fall in the Pacific Ocean, End of Research in 1998

AMERICA, celebrities.id – International Space Station (ISS) hit the Pacific Ocean in 2031. This was revealed directly by NASA recently. Launching the BBC, Saturday (19/2/2022) in the latest report, American Space Agency it said the ISS would fall into a part of the ocean known as Point Nemo.

Point Nemo is the furthest location from land, which is safe for the ISS crash, which is also known as the graveyard for spacecraft. Many old satellites and other spacecraft debris have crashed there, including the Russian space station Mir, which hit that spot in 2001.

The ISS itself will later fall to Point Nemo to end its duties as a research site for astronauts since it was first launched in 1998 ago.

NASA said that after the ISS reached its retirement period, space activities would be carried out by the commercial sector, so there was no need for a state-operated ISS. NASA said that the private sector is now able to operate independently in Indonesia space.

“The private sector is technically and financially capable of developing and operating low-Earth orbit commercial objectives, with NASA assistance,” said Phil McAlister, Director of Commercial Space at NASA Headquarters.
