International Space Station astronaut Wakata Koichi: Our prayers are with people in Turkey

After the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş, the world became one heart for Turkey.

While condolence messages are sent from many countries, search and rescue teams are sent to the earthquake zone on the other hand.

International Space Station astronaut Wakata Koichi, shared a message for Turkey due to earthquakes.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with Turkey”

Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) astronaut Wakata said in a post on his Twitter account:

Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Turkey and all affected areas devastated by the earthquake.

Wakata also conveyed his best wishes to the people in Syria affected by the earthquake.

NASA astronaut candidate: I’m so sorry

On the other hand, NASA astronaut candidate Deniz Burnham expressed her sadness in a message shared in Turkish and English:

I am very sorry for the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. My thoughts and deepest condolences are with the people of Turkey and Syria.
