An international group of representatives of various investigative agencies in an ongoing intensive investigation is trying to find out what caused the underwater apparatus to Titan implosion when it went down to the bottom with five people on board Titanic wreck, they say Associated Press. It is planned to find out what caused the explosion, how the safety of underwater devices can be improved, and whether and what charges should be brought in connection with the incident.
The investigation, led by the US Coast Guard, also includes representatives from Canada, France and the United Kingdom. An underwater robot is currently searching the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean at the site of the accident to try to collect Titan debris. At the same time, searches are carried out on Titan mothership Polar Prince and analyzed the conversations between the ship’s crew and Titan records and other available data.
