However, International Futsal Club Kadaň has already responded to the whole case. The fourth team of the first futsal league is currently coached by sports director David Filinger.
“I train him and I will lead him in matches until this situation is resolved,” sports director and currently interim coach David Filinger told Sport.cz.
“There is now an internal investigation of the club and on Tuesday the club will issue an official statement, until then I would not like to comment on it,” Filinger added. Kadaň will also lead in Monday’s televised match in Ústí nad Labem.
Player Jaroslav Slavík accused Serbian coach Nenad Veljković of physical assault. According to information from the sports website, the two already got into a conflict during the duel in Chomutov, when Slavík refused to start the game. “I did not feel well. Fatigue came over me, my legs were heavy. I didn’t want to weaken the team, but at that moment the equalizer was scored. The coach grabbed me by the scruff of the neck and threw me on the bench,” Slavík described.
The conflict was then supposed to end after a 6:8 loss in the cabin. “When I got out of the shower, Nenad pounced on me. He punched me in the head and body, then knocked me to the ground and continued. Mostly in the belly and ribs. I was helpless and terribly humiliated because he kicked me on the ground while I was naked. At the same time, he also attacked me verbally. He said he was going to kill me and he was going to kill and fuck my mother. He repeated that over and over,” Slavík described the harsh scene, according to which only his teammates had to pacify the coach.
“Michal Salák, Jiří Chmelan and Radek Novák tried to keep him from attacking me a second time, but they didn’t succeed in three. Until Daniel Klečka stepped between us and defended me. In the end, they managed to drag Veljkovic out of the cabin, but he came back twice more and repeatedly attacked me several more times while I was getting dressed,” he said.
However, coach Veljkovič denied Slavík’s version. “It’s nonsense,” he responded. “It’s terribly unpleasant, I’ve never seen anything like it in my career. It is a hot topic and we want to solve it for the good of the club, I will say more on Tuesday,” Filinger concluded.
