International Day of Cooperatives: products made in Gabon in the spotlight – AGP

Libreville, July 22, 2023 (AGP) – Officially opened this Saturday, the International Day of Cooperatives is an opportunity to highlight the products of Gabonese cooperatives, through exhibitions and sales scheduled until July 26.

Erected on the esplanade of the Senate’s Omar Bongo Ondimba Palace, the colorful and well-organized stands have been attracting many since this Saturday, on the occasion of the International Day of Cooperatives organized in Libreville, the capital. An exhibition that allows visitors to discover a variety of products offered by local cooperatives.

Among the products marketed are, among others, cosmetics, textiles, traditional jewelry, decorative objects, cassava flour and bananas, homemade jams, fruit drinks without additives, so-called traditional seasonings including garlic, banana, tubers processed or not.

This meeting is also an opportunity to promote healthy cooking, in order to fight against chemicals. This is the case of the use of the cube, a fight led by certain specialists in the culinary arts.

Bliss Bingoumou, known under the pseudonym of “Bliss la Choupinette” is one of the architects of this fight. Present at this exhibition, she wants to achieve her goal of cooking without a cube, by offering marinades for different flavors, so that many separate from the cube in the kitchen.

The JIC also recorded the presence of certain companies, such as AGRIGAB, came to offer services, to facilitate back to earth to co-ops and people considering them.

« We sell seeds to customers who cultivate in peri-urban areas of the city of Libreville, but also in the interior of the country. Our products can be used and grown at any time of the year and produce food in a short time.“, confided, the representative of the company AGRIGAB, Pascal Nnang Ondo.

Started timidly this Saturday, July 22, the exhibitors of this 7th edition of the International Day of Cooperatives hope to receive more visitors until July 26.
