International media reports that this achutand strengthened during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. This new defense axis represents a major challenge for the United States. Here the possibility of the US to include India in the field is closing. India is unlikely to take a more provocative stance against Russia. Because India considers Russia a more reliable friend than America. But India will defend China for its own security. It was hoped that the problems with China would be alleviated at this summit, but since nothing has happened, border problems are likely to continue for a long time.
At the same time, with the addition of Iran as a full member of the SCO, the total members have grown to nine. Up to now the permanent members have been China, Russia, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Iranian President Ebrahim Rayi also held a special meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Iran said it entered a new phase of economic, trade, transportation and energy cooperation after becoming a full member of the SCO to discuss countermeasures against the United States.
Iran became a permanent member of the SCO to overcome severe sanctions from the West, including the United States. Iranian President Ibrahim Rai told Putin that many problems can be solved if Iran, Russia and China, which are under US embargo, stay together. It is also special that Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi first met Chinese President Xi Jinping at the SCO meeting. Chinese President Xi Jinping said he will provide all possible support to protect Iran’s rights.
