The student body of San José de Calasanz de Barbastro School carried out different activities promoted by the ASPANOA Association on February 15, International Childhood Cancer Day.
In the morning’s reflection, videos were shown in the different educational stages that explained the day-to-day life of some affected and made this association known, the work they have been doing in Aragon for thirty years with children with cancer and their families.
At the end of the morning school day, the whole school participated in the playground forming a large golden bow and a member of the association and father of the school, Oscar Torres, read the manifesto that extolled the figure of caregivers who care for minors with an oncological disease and called for the implementation of more humanization measures in pediatric hospitals under the slogan ‘A better survival is possible’.
The figure of the caregiver is essential and the volunteers from different facets help relieve families by transmitting joy and relaxation to our minors.
Let’s not forget and let’s continue to recognize the children and families who suffer from this disease.
