International Campus (IC), a leading investor, developer and operator of concepts for student and urban living in Europe, has started the construction of a two-part apartment building in Frankfurt-Bockenheim. The HAVENS LIVING brand apartment building with over 14,000 m² GFA will offer 154 fully furnished individual apartments ranging in size from 22 to 110 m² as well as numerous communal areas. These include a communal kitchen, a green roof terrace with a view of the Frankfurt skyline and a bar, as well as an underground car park with 81 car and 237 bicycle parking spaces. Completion is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2023.
“The lively Frankfurt district of Bockenheim is an ideal location for our new HAVENS LIVING product. The new Frankfurt property is also our entry into one of the most important banking and business locations in all of Europe,” explains Michael Stapf, CIO of International Campus. “International Campus will take on the project development itself. With the HAVENS LIVING Frankfurt, which will bear the name ‘MAIN VOLTA’, we are creating additional living space and thus relieving the regular rental apartment market. After THE FIZZ in Leiden, MAIN VOLTA is the second property that we have started building this year.”
“After the successful start of our first house in Hamburg with 214 apartments last year, we are looking forward to operating the next HAVENS LIVING in Frankfurt am Main next year,” says Michael Stump, COO of International Campus. “HAVENS LIVING is precisely tailored to the living needs of urban people. All of our high-quality apartments can be easily rented online. Our customers also benefit from an active community and numerous additional areas in the building that can be used free of charge, such as the large lounge or co-working zones. Two more HAVENS LIVING projects are already being implemented in Hamburg and Berlin and are expected to open in the next two years.”
The HAVENS LIVING in Frankfurt is located in the central district of Bockenheim on Voltastraße, which has numerous restaurants and pubs to offer. In addition, the new location is well connected to public transport: there are two tram stops on Voltastraße and the S-Bahn leaves from Westbahnhof, a few minutes’ walk away. From there you also have access to the long-distance network of Deutsche Bahn.
Frankfurt am Main has around 760,000 inhabitants, making it one of the largest cities in Germany. The city is the center of the economically strong Rhine-Main region and one of the most important locations for international banking. In addition to the numerous major banks, the ECB and the German Stock Exchange, national and international companies also have their headquarters in the Main metropolis.
