This international star demonstration and observation meeting was organized by the Hong Kong Badminton Association. About 140 young players aged 9 to 12 from the Badminton Association’s key youth corps, district youth corps and reserve youth corps were invited to participate, together with a group of parents of the youth corps. More than 200 people attended, and the scene was chaotic. Three mixed doubles teams, including Hong Kong’s Li Jinxi/Ng Zhirou, Singapore’s Hui Yongkai/Chen Weihan, Indonesia’s Rafadi/Adali, and Chinese women’s singles representative Chen Fanghui communicated with local small golfers for nearly two hours.
A group of stars first demonstrated basic batting skills, and two foreign mixed doubles pairs also staged an exhibition match. As a result, the Singaporean pair narrowly won by 1 point. “Li Wu Pei” then “divided up” and formed a team with two male and female golfers to play. Xu Yongkai and Rafaidi each selected young golfers to play against each other. Whether the star jumped to kill or the young player successfully defended, they were all in trouble. The whole audience cheered. The seven stars finally handed out autographs and took photos to the young players and parents in attendance, and also took turns guessing with the young players.
Hong Kong player Ng Chi-rou was delighted to see that the children were not afraid of playing against international players. She also recalled that when she was a child, she had participated in exchange activities with national players: “I used to play against Chinese Olympic athletes. After being exposed to high-level athletes, their enthusiasm for badminton has increased after the activity. I hope they will also feel the same.” National player Chen Fanghui praised the level of local young players and hoped to leave happy memories for them: “I can see that they all like it very much. In badminton, we are very positive even if it is a challenge. Love and persistence are the most important, and I hope to set a positive example for them.”

Singaporean golfer Xu Yongkai said that he had attended similar exchange activities with children in his hometown and believed that the work of golfers is to inspire the new generation: “Their level and basic skills are very good. I hope they will not give up and continue to play badminton.” Chasing better results on the court.” Zhu Qingran, who was selected to play against Xu Yongkai and came from the Central and Western Region’s key youth teams, exclaimed that the experience of playing against top stars was “so refreshing and so happy”, and also pointed out that the opponent’s smash was very powerful, “But I’ve received everything from Young Master!”
At the end of the exchange activity, the golfers went to a restaurant to taste the famous local egg tarts and enjoyed the scenery of Hong Kong at the sky100 observation deck. Several overseas stars especially took photos of the skyline.
