International artist Naseer Shamma receives honor from Abu Dhabi for Culture and Arts for mastery of Arabic lute

Abu Dhabi/ Nina/ The Abu Dhabi Group for Culture and Arts honored Professor of the Arabic Oud, Goodwill Ambassador, the international artist, Naseer Shamma, in honor of his outstanding contributions in the field of music and his long-term cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Group for Culture and Arts, and a number of artists participating in co-productions and exclusive commissioning from the Abu Dhabi Festival, for their pioneering achievement And their continuous career in the service of culture and the arts.

The event, which was held at the Emirates Palace in cooperation with Chopard, was attended by Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi.

The list of honorees included Sheikh Mahmoud El-Tohamy, Emirati composers Ihab Darwish, David Shire and John Debney, and international producer Robert Towson for their creative work “Triple Symphony”.

Hoda Ibrahim Al-Khamis said: “The Abu Dhabi Festival Award celebrates each year the amazing achievements of artists who have made important contributions to the fields of music and the arts, and we are pleased to cooperate with Chopard to honor the rich careers of American authors David Shire, Goodney Dibny and music producer Robert Towson, who collaborated with the creative Emirati composer Ehab Darwish for the completion of the Triple Symphony.”/ End
