International Airlines Update Flight Schedules to and from Tel Aviv Amid Israel-Palestine Conflict

(Reuters) – International airlines suspended hundreds of flights to and from Tel Aviv, as well as some flights to Lebanon and Jordan, with the outbreak of war between Israel and the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) on October 7.

But some airlines then resumed their flights to and from Tel Aviv.

The following are the airlines that have updated their flight schedules to Israel:

* The Middle East

Emirates Airlines has suspended all flights to and from Tel Aviv without providing a time frame.

Turkish Airlines and Pegasus Airlines have suspended flights to Israel until further notice.

Gulf Air canceled all its flights to Tel Aviv until November 19. It did not post any further update on its website.

Etihad Airways resumed scheduled passenger and cargo services between Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv on October 11.

* Africa

Royal Air Maroc has canceled its flights to and from Tel Aviv until February 1.

* north america

American Airlines has temporarily suspended all flights to and from Tel Aviv until March 29.

Delta Airlines has canceled its flights between Tel Aviv and New York until April 30.

United Airlines said it will continue to suspend its flights to Tel Aviv until conditions allow for their resumption.

Air Canada has canceled its flights to and from Tel Aviv until further notice, saying it will resume flights “as soon as the situation stabilizes.”

* Asia

Hainan Airlines canceled its flights connecting Beijing and Shanghai to Tel Aviv from October 12 to 31.

Hainan Airlines, the only Chinese airline operating flights between China and Israel, did not provide any update on its website.

Cathay Pacific has canceled flights to and from Tel Aviv until March 28.

South Korean Airlines (Korean Air) canceled its scheduled October 9 flights between Incheon and Tel Aviv and said it expects flights to be irregular in the future. The company did not provide any further update on its website.

Air Astana canceled a flight scheduled from Almaty to Tel Aviv on October 8 and later said it may cancel more flights if the situation worsens. The company did not provide any further update on its website.

Azerbaijan’s national airline canceled return flights between Baku and Tel Aviv on October 10. The company did not provide any further update on its website.

* Europe

German Lufthansa and two of its units in Switzerland and Austria, as well as Eurowings, resumed their flights to Israel on January 8.

Air France-KLM decided to resume its flights to Israel as of January 24, operating three flights per week.

Ryanair, the largest airline in Europe by number of passengers, has canceled its flights to and from Tel Aviv until January 8. The company did not provide any further update on its website.

Bloomberg News reported that the Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air decided to extend the suspension of its flights to Tel Aviv from January until March.

British EasyJet suspended its flights to Tel Aviv until November 30 and said it was reviewing its flight schedule to Tel Aviv on a regular basis. The company did not provide any further update on its website.

British Airways, owned by IAG, has suspended its flights to Tel Aviv until January 31.

Virgin Atlantic has suspended its flights to and from Tel Aviv until March 16.

Norwegian Air has canceled flights from Copenhagen and Stockholm to Tel Aviv and return flights until December 19. It did not post any further update on its website.

Finnair said it had canceled its flights to Tel Aviv until October 29.

Icelandair has canceled the remaining October flights to Tel Aviv. It did not post any further update on its website.

Vueling, also owned by IAG, has canceled its flights to and from Tel Aviv, as well as to and from Beirut until January 28.

The Spanish airline Air Europa is scheduled to resume its flights to Israel on February 1.

Portugal’s TAP has suspended flights to and from Tel Aviv without providing a time frame.

Italian airline ETA has canceled flights to and from Tel Aviv until January 31.

Greece’s Aegean Airlines canceled all flights to and from Tel Aviv until November 30 and Beirut until November 27. There was no further update on its website.

Cyprus Airways has suspended the Larnaca-Tel Aviv route until further notice, effective October 12.

Air Malta has canceled several return flights until November 18, saying it will adjust operations as needed. There was no further update on its website.

Bulgaria Airlines has canceled all its flights to and from Tel Aviv without providing a time frame.

LOT Polish Airlines said flights from Tel Aviv are likely to be postponed or cancelled.
