Jakarta – Chairman of the Islamic Students Association of the Salvation Council of the Organization (HMI MPO) The Jakarta branch, Irfan Maftuh, led a demonstration against the Governor of DKI Anies Baswedan. Irfan Maftuh also threatened to coup the Chairman of the HMI MPO Executive Board, Affandi Ismail.
“So today PB Affandi Ismail I remind you, don’t let the Jakarta branches (HMI MPO) coup you. I remind Affandi Ismail, the Jakarta branch of the HMI MPO and the South Jakarta branch of the HMI MPO, and the Jakarta branch as a whole, they will fight Affandi Ismail because he did not confirm to say that they were not involved. In our opinion, they have interfered in internal affairs or the structure of the Jakarta branch of the HMI or branches throughout Jakarta, “said Irfan Maftuh at the Proclamation Monument, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (6/4/2021).
PB HMI MPO has denied the correctness of the instructions to call for demonstrations against Anies. However, Irfan Maftuh stated that PB HMI MPO did not have the right to intervene in the branches of HMI MPO, including the Jakarta Branch of HMI MPO which he led.
“The first (HMI) Jakarta branch has its own structure. So the branches have their own structure, within the HMI itself. Then PB also has its own structure. And PB has no right to intervene the branches to carry out demonstrations or policies. in the Jakarta branch, “said Irfan Maftuh.
Chairman of PB HMI MPO Affandi Ismail responded with questions. He wanted an answer from Irfan Maftuh.
“If Brother Maftuh wants to coup me, then my question is, what is the constitutional basis?” What violation did I commit? What is the reason? “Affandi said in response to the coup issue when asked by reporters on Wednesday (6/4/2021).
Affandi admitted that Irfan Maftuh was the person he appointed and he gave a Decree (SK) to become Chairman of the HMI MPO Jakarta. He did not want to go too far with the coup plan that was rolled out by Irfan Maftuh.
“If I respond to that, it will reduce the dignity of HMI’s big management,” said Affandi.
