We are looking for committed history students with a major or minor (preferably with a focus on economic and social history) who have good knowledge of common Microsoft Office programs, can confidently use and design common modern media, are happy to take on responsibility and are willing to… to work in a small team. We offer ongoing internships ranging from four weeks to three months. By arrangement, the internship can be part-time. The working hours can be arranged flexibly.
The Society for Corporate History (GUG), which was founded in 1976 to promote corporate history research, is today the most important corporate history institution in the German-speaking region. In addition, it enjoys international recognition and ensures worldwide contact and exchange within the framework of the European Business History Association (EBHA) and the International Economic History Association (IEHA). The GUG also organized the first world conference on corporate history in March 2014 with great success. At GUG mbH, the association handles contract research and projects, including the development and optimization of archives.
We offer a friendly atmosphere in a small, open-minded team, as well as interesting activities related to the company’s history. The areas of responsibility include, among other things, the preparation of events, smaller research and documentation assignments as well as helping with the editing of the magazine for corporate history (ZUG). Insights into the project activities of GUG mbH and support for the office are also part of the internship.
If you are interested, please send your application documents (a short cover letter, your CV and scans of your certificates) to the GUG office, Mr. Kai Balazs-Bartesch: balazs-bartesch@unternehmensgeschichte.de.
