“It seems that it is by buying toilet paper at the supermarket that we a the best chance of meeting your ex.” It is with these words that the latest advertising spot Story of a love of the mass distribution brand Intermarché begins. Imagined by the Romance agency and directed by Katia Lewkowicz, it shows the story of two former lovers who try to put the pieces back together… in a supermarket!

Looks that seek each other, smiles that emerge, signs of tenderness hidden in the store shelves (like the shape of a heart made with apples)… The path to reconquest is thus narrated in this advertising film accompanied by the song Story of a love sung by Dalida.

The preferred long format

This new Intermarché film will be broadcast exclusively in 2 minutes, 90 seconds and 60 seconds formats. “In an era where ’20 seconds’ is on the rise to become the new advertising standardIntermarché still believes in the long format. The one that holds attention, that creates an emotional connection with audiences, strengthens memorization and preference”then indicates the brand in a press release.

Viewers were able to discover the spot on TF1 on Saturday October 12, the day of the return of the channel’s flagship program Star Academy. This campaign also marks the return of Intermarché to cinemas where the advertising film will be broadcast in 2 minutes in all cinemas before the film phew love by Gilles Lellouche from October 16. Finally, for the first time, the spot will be promoted on TikTok where the latter’s characters will tell the story they experienced from their point of view through “story times”.

Story of a love is the 8th opus of the Intermarché saga “We all have a good reason to eat better.” (After Love love, I dreamed so much, It’s magnificent, Until my last breath, A place to live, Dad, It becomes clearer in front).
