Tlaxcala, Tlax.- In front of the governor, Lorena Cuellar Cisnerosthe Secretary of the Interior, Adam Augusto Lopez Hernandez, He maintained that he cannot recognize Tlaxcala as the safest state in Mexico, because it is not; and affirmed that this position is occupied by the state of Yucatán.
With this, he objected to the speech of the local president in which he exalted that Tlaxcala, thanks to the strategies and decisions of his administration, is the safest entity in the country and with the lowest criminal incidence. This, after inaugurating the first Command, Control, Computing, Communications, Coordination and Intelligence Center (C5i) in Tlaxcala, which was built by the local government with an investment of 293 million pesos.
López Hernández indicated that he does recognize the work that Cuéllar Cisneros has done in terms of public and citizen securitybut affirmed that Tlaxcala does not occupy the first place.
“To the advantage to recognize the great work that has been done, but tomorrow, the day after tomorrow I have to go to Yucatan, so I can not recognize that Tlaxcala is first because the Yucatecans are going to attack me, but they take it there,” he said. . He stressed that it is Yucatan, where the PAN governs, represented by Mauricio Vila Dosal, the safest state in Mexico; while Tlaxcala, where Morena governs with the representation of Governor Lorena Cuéllar Cisneros, is placed in second position.
“Tlaxcala and Yucatán are considered today as the safest states in the country, first and second, then come others such as Baja California, such as Campeche, Chiapas, it came there oscillating among the top four, it has fallen a bit, but I have no doubt that the coordinated work of the three orders of government gives results and here, Tlaxcala, is an example of this,” he said.
However, he applauded the construction and start of operations of the Command, Control, Computing, Communications, Coordination and Intelligence Center (C5i), which will concentrate, in a single public space, the coordinated operations of public security, crime prevention crime, administration of justice, care and attention to emergencies.
Likewise, it will operate with 1,300 video surveillance cameras, facial recognition equipment in strategic places of mobility to detect people with possible criminal records or related to criminal activities.
The Secretary of the Interior argued that when he was governor of Tabasco he wanted to build a C5, but he did not do it because it required a budget of six billion pesos and also because he did not understand the meaning of the “c”.
The inauguration event was attended by the governor of Puebla, Sergio Salomón Céspedes, who boasted, “with all due respect”, that this entity has had a C5 since 2015.
In this regard, the president stated that this new public institution was one of her campaign promises, which is now financed with public resources from the federal and local budget.
“More than 20 years had to elapse in Tlaxcala to scale to a more competitive, innovative, technologically advanced level that responded to the fair demands of citizens in terms of infrastructure for citizen security,” he said. She commented that the C5i will strengthen the operational processes of public security and emergency institutions, in addition to strengthening citizen participation in crime prevention tasks to, according to her, keep Tlaxcala as the safest state in the country.
