Moscow, May 11. /TASS/. Moscow football club Spartak defeated Krasnodar at home with a score of 1:0 in the match of the 28th round of the World – Russian Premier League (RPL). The meeting was held at the Lukoil Arena in Moscow.

Roman Zobnin scored for the winners (34th minute).

Before the start of the game, those present at the stadium observed a moment of silence in memory of those who were killed during the Great Patriotic War.

On April 14, Spartak dismissed the Spaniard Guillermo Abascal as the head coach of the team, and the Bosnian Vladimir Sliskovich was appointed as an actor. Under the leadership of Sliskovich, Spartak extended its unbeaten streak, which reached seven games (four wins, three draws).

Thanks to the victory, Spartak rose to fourth place, the team got 46 points. Krasnodar is in second place with 50 points. The leader of the competition – St. Petersburg Zenit (51 points), the third place is occupied by Dynamo Moscow (50). Zenit and Dynamo will play their matches later on Saturday: the St. Petersburg will host CSKA Moscow, while Dynamo will play away against Baltika Kaliningrad.

In the next round, Spartak will host Rubin Kazan on May 19, while Krasnodar will meet Sochi away the day before.

In another game of the day, Rubin beat Rostov at home with a score of 3:1, which ended the game with nine players due to two deletions.
