SOTILLO DE LA RIBERA (BURGOS), 4 (EUROPA PRESS)
Sotillo de la Ribera (Burgos) hosts next Monday, April 10, an intergenerational meeting under the title ‘Shared Memories’, a project of the Miguel Delibes Foundation financed by the Ministry of Culture and Sports, in collaboration with the town council .
The activity will be held at the CRA Siglo XXI with the students of the center and with the elders of the town, who together will share their experiences in the workshops ‘See, listen and dialogue’ and ‘Create’, given by experts in heritage education from El Wandering zucchini.
The ‘Shared Memories’ project was born as a commitment to unite ways of life, to enrich each other with their knowledge, their opinions and their reflections; Create links between the elderly and children using the texts of the author from Valladolid.
With the work of Miguel Delibes as the theme of the day, the participants will discuss seven topics related to the rural environment, traditions, the environment, trades and customs, all of them linked to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) .
In addition, a collaborative workshop will be held among all where the learning obtained will be artistically captured.
Delibes as the father and grandfather of a large family, defender of childhood, traditions, the rural world, the underprivileged, is the model for establishing affectionate relationships and for promoting changes in attitude in the young generations that trigger a positive image of old age through the active participation of adults.
For this reason, these meetings will be held in rural towns with less than 5,000 inhabitants, and located in the autonomous communities with the highest risk of depopulation in the last ten years: Castilla y León, Castilla-La Mancha, Extremadura, Cantabria and Aragon.
Thus, with the first meetings held in Daroca and Monreal at the end of March, those scheduled for this year begin, followed by those scheduled in Sotillo de la Ribera (Burgos) this Monday, April 10, and between April 18 and 21. April in Torralba de Calatrava (Ciudad Real), Manchita (Badajoz), Torrejoncillo and Piornal (Cceres).
