Slovakian striker Jura Slafkovský they could expect a change of position in the Montreal Canadiens team soon. Speculation about his move to the center role increased during Thursday’s throw-in practice.
Journalist Marc-Olivier Cook pointed out that the 20-year-old Košice, who had played only as a forward in the NHL until now, took part in the practice throw in before Thursday’s main training session.
“Before training, we work on throw-in techniques. Players involved: Condotta, Suzuki, Newhook, Evans, Dvorak and… Slafkovský. Will there soon be a lab for Slafkovski for the center position?” Cook noted.
Foreign journalists have already speculated about the possibility of trying Slafkovský in the middle of the attack. He is well suited for this role.
