The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, “Dubai Culture”, offers cultural and artistic activities wrapped in joy and decorated with the aesthetics of music and poetry, and large expressive spaces that motivate young people to be creative, at the Al Jalila Center for Child Culture, which hosts its two-week winter camp activities aimed at enhancing the skills of young people and honing their creative talents. In order to achieve the goals of “Dubai Culture” and its commitment to create a creative and sustainable environment where all kinds of arts thrive, to be able to contribute more to the development of Dubai’s creative economy.
Al Jalila Center for Child Culture winter camp will appear this December, launching the slogan “Young Creators Winter Camp”, where young people will have a date with “cultural entertainment”, performing arts, painting, mosaic art and other arts aimed at enriching children’s imagination and honing their creative skills.

The camp, which will take place over two weeks, from 12 to 23 December, is aimed at various age groups ranging from 4 to 12 years, in which children will be able to raise the level of their creative faculties and free the their talents in poetry, drama, music and learning about the origins and arts of crafts.
Adel Omar, senior director of special projects and media department at Al Jalila Center for Children’s Culture, stressed the importance of encouraging children’s creative and artistic talents. He said: «Dubai Culture», through the winter camp for young creators, wishes to invest the participants’ time by providing them with cultural and recreational activities, programs and workshops dedicated to the arts of all kinds, which help to perfect their skills, discovering their creative talents and developing them in a way that combines entertainment and education.».
At the same time, he emphasized that the winter camp reflects Dubai Culture’s commitment to fostering a spirit of exploration and innovation among children.
Adel Omar added: “These camps offer children an exceptional opportunity that allows them to develop their imagination and develop their skills, as well as invest their mental and physical abilities in learning and creativity, which increases their self-confidence”.
Rhythmic arts
In an atmosphere full of joy, the Al Jalila Center for Child Culture winter camp opens its doors to young people aged 4-6, who are eager to discover the secrets of performing arts, as well as the theater that raises the curtain in front of their innovative stage characters that they present in an integrated show inspired by their ideas. This also applies to the arts of music and rhythm, where children will learn about different types of music, unleashing their skills in composing poems, learning the arts of mosaic, sand painting, soap making and other handicrafts which are held in cooperation with “Project U”.
In addition to performing arts and music, the winter camp opens the eyes of children aged 7-9 to the arts of drawing with painting, at a time when they will have an appointment with a group of training workshops in which you will discover the arts of terrazzo (making of paintings in marble), the arts of candle making and the origins of machine gun knitting.
The winter camp, on the other hand, draws the attention of children aged between 10 and 12 to the art of “anime” to increase their passion for discovering the secrets of this art inspired by Japanese culture, in a moment in which they learn the arts of dotted drawing, sand painting and drawing on burlap sacks, and drawing with paints, as well as instructing them in the methods of making tables, and in the art of making candles, mosaics, and the like.
