Parents from Nuevo León packed the headquarters of the local Congress in search of the registry to file an amparo and get their minor children to receive the Covid-19 vaccine.

The initiative is promoted by the National Action bench and managed to fill the ground floor of the Legislative headquarters building.
The legislative group set up a document reception desk for minors in search of legal recourse.

At a press conference, the State Secretary of Health, Manuel de la O Cavazos, detailed the process for a minor to be vaccinated after obtaining an amparo.
IMMUNIZE THE FIRST MINORS
Despite the fact that they were expected to be vaccinated until the weekend, the first eight minors with the protection to obtain the Covid vaccine were inoculated at the Nova Clinic.
The dose they received is from the pharmaceutical company Pfizer, which is the only one approved internationally.
Parents who request the vaccine have children between the ages of 12 and 17.
Ana Sánchez, one of the mothers of the family indicated that she decided to go because her children are still far from being vaccinated by the Roadrunner Brigade since they are 12 and 15 years old.
In San Nicolás they are just going to start the vaccination from 18 to 29 and well, there is a long way to go. That is why we decided to join this initiative, we know that the first 8 kids were already vaccinated through Amparo ”, he said.
