Small agricultural businesses in the Beauce-Sartigan territory that are starting up or in the process of diversification now have access to a new interest-free agricultural loan that can reach $10,000.
This new form of loan was born out of the collaboration of the UPA Beauce-Sartigan, the CEB, the MRC and Desjardins who injected $25,000 each for a total of $100,000 available. The MP for Beauce-Sud, Samuel Poulin, added an amount of $10,000 to this fund called Microcredit Desjardins launched Friday at La Miellerie de Sophie in Notre-Dame-des-Pins. Sophie Roy has 250 hives. In her small shop, she offers consumer products made from honey, but also body products, also made from honey. She has lots of plans for her small business and she intends to take advantage of this form of loan.
