Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Video clips show Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, known as the “Prince Father” and his wife, Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, raising the flag of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in the stands of Lusail Stadium in Qatar, during the match between “Al-Akhdar” and Mexico on Wednesday night.
The Emir of Qatar, the “father”, and his wife wanted to support the Saudi national team, from the field, and waved the flag of the kingdom.
Twitter tweets shared these clips, which sparked interaction.
Other clips earlier showed Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and Sheikh Moza bint Nasser raising the Moroccan flag, to encourage the ‘Atlas Lions’ team, against Croatia on Wednesday.
Interestingly, “Al-Akhdar” lost to the Mexican national team by two goals to one, at the end of the group stage competitions, to see off the World Cup from the first round, after being the bottom of the table in the third group with only 3 points.
