Inter Milan vs Atalanta results in Week Six of the Italian League 2021-2022: Roberto Piccoli’s goal disallowed, La Dea draws the Nerazzurri 2-2: Okezone Ball

MILAN – Exciting and fierce duels are presented in the match Inter Milan vs Atalanta in week six Italian League 2021-2022. The tight competition made the match ended in a 2-2 draw.

Playing at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium, Sunday (26/9/2021) early morning WIB, Atalanta actually managed to score the third goal in this match. But unfortunately, Roberto Piccoli’s goal which was created near the end of the match was annulled by the referee.

As a result, Atalanta were only able to record two goals through the actions of Ruslan Malinovskiy (30′) and Rafael Toloi (38′). Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri – Inter’s nickname – scored two goals through the action of Lautaro Martinez (5′) and Edin Dzeko (71′).

The course of the match

First round

Inter Milan started the game aggressively. Simone Inzaghi’s troops who appeared in front of their own supporters were very confident in messing up the defense of La Dea – Atalanta’s nickname.

Evidently, five minutes into the game the Nerazzuri were able to rip apart Atalanta’s goal. It was Lautaro Martinez (5′) who scored a beautiful goal through a volley after receiving feedback from Nicolo Barella, Inter winning 1-0.

The advantage did not only make the Nerazzuri dominate the game. It was observed that La Dea had several golden opportunities until the middle of the first half.

The best chance of Gian Piero Gasperini’s troops when there was chaos in front of Inter Milan’s goal after a corner. Unfortunately, Merih Demiral’s hard kick was well parried by Samir Handanovic.

La Dea’s efforts finally bore fruit in the 30th minute. Goal came for Atalanta after Ruslan Malinovsyi (30′) fired hard from outside the penalty area with his left foot, Atalanta equalized 1-1.

It didn’t stop there, seven minutes later Atalanta were able to turn things around to 2-1. The goal came from Malinovsyi’s hard kick which was saved by Handanovic, the ball that fell to Rafael Toloi’s feet (37′) was immediately converted into a goal.

In the end, Inter Milan failed to equalize. Gian Piero Gasperini’s men led 2-1 until the referee blew the long whistle signaling the end of the first half

Second round

Inter Milan immediately took the initiative to attack in the second half. It was observed, Simone Inzaghi’s troops tried hard to equalize from the beginning of the second half. However, the Nerazzuri’s efforts have not yielded results.

Preoccupation with attacking, the Nerazzuri almost missed through a counter-attack by La Dea led by Duvan Zapata. Unfortunately, his measured bait to Malinovsyi can still be driven by Handanovic well.

Entering the 65th minute, it was observed that both teams responded to attacks with a high tempo. However, no additional goals have been created despite many chances. Neither Atalanta nor Inter Milan want to slow down the tempo of the game.

However, the Nerazzuri dominated the game after Gian Piero Gasperini preferred to play defensively. As a result, Simone Inzaghi’s troops managed to equalize through Edin Dzeko.

The goal came from Inter Milan’s structured attack pattern, Dzeko (70′) took advantage of the vomit ball after Federico Dimarco’s shot was blocked by Juan Musso, the Nerazzuri equalized 2-2.

The match was getting fierce entering the critical minutes. High tension colored the game after Atalanta’s third goal scored by Roberto Piccoli was disallowed by the referee. The goal is considered invalid because the first violation occurred.

In the end, the position held until the referee blew his long whistle, the home team managed to hold the visitors to a 2-2 draw. La Dea managed to stop Inter Milan’s winning streak in the 2021-2022 Italian League.
