Jakarta

Inter Milan qualify for the final Italian Super Cup 2023 after winning over Lazio. The Nerazzurri won 3-0 to face Napoli in the top match.

Duel Inter vs Lazio in the semifinals of the Italian Super Cup held at Al-Awwal Park, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Saturday (20/1/2024) early morning WIB. Inter were Coppa Italia champions last season, while Lazio were Serie A runners-up.

Inter opened the scoring in the 17th minute through Marcus Thuram. Bastoni moved from the left side then threw a pass to Federico Dimarco. With his heel, Dimarco provided an assist for Thuram to finish in front of goal.

Lautaro Martinez tries to shoot from outside the penalty box. Lautaro’s kick forced Provedel to make a save.

Inter almost increased their lead. Dimarco’s cross from the left side was followed by Nicolo Barella with a volley. Unfortunately for Inter, Barella’s shot hit the crossbar.

At the start of the second half, Inter received a penalty. The referee pointed to the spot after checking VAR for Pedro’s foul on Lautaro.

Hakan Calhanoglu stepped up as penalty taker. Calhanoglu successfully beat Provedel to double Inter’s lead.

Davide Frattesi solidified Inter’s victory with a goal in the 87th minute. Taking advantage of Luis Alberto’s mistake, Henrikh Mkhitaryan passed the ball to Frattesi who then beat Provedel in a one-on-one position.
