“Inter Milan Defeats AS Roma 2-0 in Italian League Week 34 Match”

Inter Milan won 2-0 over AS Roma in Week 34 of the Italian League this season. The results above have made the Nerazzurri back into the top four zone.

Playing at the Olimpico, Saturday (6/5/2023), Inter opened the scoring through Federico Dimarco’s shot in the 32nd minute which hit Bryan Cristante before nesting in the Roma goal. In the 74th minute, the visitors added advantage.

Lautaro Martinez took advantage of Roger Ibanez’s mistake to send a pass for Romelu Lukaku who scored the second goal in this match. Inter also returned to Milan with three points.

This result made La Beneamata rise again to fourth in the standings with 63 points, equaling Juventus who are in third place but have a head-to-head lead and have one match saved. Rome is in seventh position with 58 points.

Roma have been threatening since the 2nd minute, but Lorenzo Pellegrini’s long-range shot has not been on target. The Giallorossi captain made a similar attempt again in the 18th minute, but this time it was saved by Inter goalkeeper Andre Onana.

Inter put the pressure on in the 23rd minute. Denzel Dumfries managed to meet Alessandro Bastoni’s cross, but his header went wide to the right. In the 28th minute, Hakan Calhanoglu’s shot was saved by Roma goalkeeper, Rui Patricio.

In the 60th minute, Inter brought on Lautaro Martinez to replace Joaquin Correa. It was the right decision as the Argentine striker provided the assist for the Nerazzurri’s second goal in the 74th minute.

The goal process was created by Ibanez’s blunder. Intending to sweep the ball back, the ball instead headed for Martinez, who immediately sent the bait to Lukaku. In an unguarded free state, it was easy for him to strike the ball past Patricio.

In the remaining time, Roma tried to catch up, but the score lasted 2-0 until the fight was over.
