CEO Inter Milan Beppe Marotta talk about transfers Andrew Onan the Manchester United. Seeing the benefits that Inter got, Marotta considered it a successful transfer.
Inter signed Onana in the summer of 2022. The Nerazzurri got the goalkeeper from Cameroon for free after his contract with Ajax ended.
One year later, Inter released Onana to MU. Inter sold Onana for 52.5 million euros plus bonuses worth 5 million euros.
Onana is still having difficulties at MU so far. Is it possible that Onana will return to Inter?
“Everything can happen in football, although those who return don’t always get positive results,” said Marotta when asked about Onana’s chances of returning to the Giuseppe Meazza.
“It was an important experience for him and us. It was also a successful deal for us, getting him for free and selling him for that price,” he added as reported by Football Italia.
Andre Onana’s performance at Manchester United so far has not been satisfactory. Onana has conceded 19 times in 11 appearances in all competitions.
