Former Fiorentina coach Paulo Sosa believes Inter Milan can replicate Juventus’ dominance in Serie A over the last decade.
The Portuguese coach made the bold prediction while speaking to Milanese newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, in an interview that appeared in today’s print edition via FCInterNews.
Inter are hoping to become the first team to win back-to-back Serie A titles since 2020.
The 2019-20 season marked Juventus’ last Scudetto in a run that saw them win a remarkable nine consecutive Scudettos.
Inter ended that streak in the 2020-21 season. And since then, AC Milan, Napoli and then the Nerazzurri have all won it.
On paper, Inter are well placed to successfully defend their title.
The Nerazzurri dominated last season, with a lead of almost twenty points over second place in the standings.
And unlike Napoli’s easy win last season, Inter have retained the entire core of the team, from the coach to the starting XI.
Inter will thus have the feeling of being able to reproduce the level of performance of last season in the league.

Obviously, even another title win would be a far cry from the decade of success Juventus enjoyed in the 2010s.
But according to former coach Sosa, the foundations are there for something similar in the long term.
As for what he thinks Inter can do in the future, Sosa They boldly predicted that they could “win a series of consecutive titles and dominate Italian football.”
“The Bianconeri have reached ninth place in a row,” Sosa noted. “And the Nerazzurri are no exception.”
“They have the intensity, the mentality, the ideas and the right people to lead the club,” he said.
“There is a team of world-class players,” Sosa continued. “And most importantly, their coach.”
“Inzaghi is now a certainty in Europe,” he said.
Sosa praised Inter’s “calmness in handling pressure.”
“In recent years the pressure was on them to win. But in the end they always managed to win the Scudetto.”
