Inter Milan achieved a narrow 1-0 win at home Benfica. Marcus Thuram’s goal broke the deadlock Nerazzurri.
Inter Milan host Benfica at the Giuseppe Meazza, Wednesday (4/10/2023) early morning WIB, on Matchday 2 Liga Champions. Benfica made things difficult for the hosts, especially in the first half.
The beloved one increased his intensity in the second half and almost scored through Lautaro Martinez. Simone Inzaghi’s troops’ efforts only came to fruition in the 62nd minute through Marcus Thuram.

Pole! Inter almost scored a goal in the 55th minute when Lautaro Martinez’s shot was aimed at goal, but bounced off the crossbar. Barella tried to grab the rebound but was blocked by Trubin.
Martinez was thwarted by the goal post again in the 61st minute! This time in a free position, his shot hit the left goal post.
GOAL! Inter broke the deadlock in the 62nd minute. Dumfries’ bait was completed calmly by Marcus Thuram.
A mistake from Nicolas Otamendi almost led to Inter’s second goal. He was able to hold off Martinez for a moment, but the Inter striker’s follow-up attempt was then blocked by Trubin.
Another chance from Inter in the 86th minute. Martinez’s shot following Mkhitaryan’s pass was thwarted by Trubin with his foot. The match ended in favor of Inter.
