Inter Miami remains at the bottom of the Eastern Division and won’t play the next MLS game until August 20th.

Leo Messi’s new team is currently competing in the Leagues Cup, an annual summer competition between Mexican and US teams. This competition is very prestigious (and some teams take it very seriously) as the top three teams qualify for the CONCACAF Champions Cup.

Boosted by the 2022 World Champion, as well as Sergio Busquets and now Jordi Alba, Miami has won 3 of their 3 games with Messi in their squad:

Interesting: Atlanta and Orlando are closer to the top of their conference and are having a much better season than Miami.

As for Leo Messi, he has scored in each of those games: 5 goals and one assist. Watching Messi and Busquets play shows how effortlessly they play:

On August 7, Miami meets FC Dallas in the round of 16 of the Leagues Cup. Messi hopes his team can claim another win and get closer to winning the title.
