Inter Miami Targets Former Barcelona and PSG Players to Join Lionel Messi in Squad

Recruitment Lionel Messi seems to be just the beginning for Inter Miami. There are five other players currently being targeted and all of them have links with Messi.

According to Gaston Edul, reporter TyC Sports, Inter Miami will now begin negotiations to recruit Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba. All three are Messi’s former team-mates at Barcelona.

Luis Suarez, who once worked shoulder to shoulder with Messi on the front lines of Barca, currently playing in Brazil with Gremio. He is under contract until 2024.

Meanwhile, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba have been confirmed to leave Barcelona this summer. Busquets’ contract expires on June 30, 2023, while Alba has agreed to part ways with Barca even though his contract is still up to next year.

Apart from this ‘Barcelona connection’, there are also two other players being targeted Inter Miami to accompany Messi in the squad. The two names are also La Pulga’s former colleagues at Paris Saint-Germain.

Is César Luis Merlo, also from TyC Sports, which reveals this. Angel Di Maria and Leandro Paredes are potential targets for Inter Miami. The two of them were on the same team with Messi at PSG, apart from also playing together in the Argentina squad.
