Inter Miami Fined by CONCACAF Disciplinary Committee After Controversial Match Against Monterrey: Details Revealed

Florida: The CONCACAF disciplinary committee fined Inter Miami led by Argentina superstar Lionel Messi. The action comes after losing both legs of the CONCACAF Champions Cup quarter against Monterrey from Mexico.

The fine was for not providing adequate security for the first leg of the April 3 game at Chase Stadium, Miami’s home ground. However, the authorities have not disclosed the amount of the fine. After Inter Miami’s loss, there were untoward incidents at the stadium.

Miami lost 2-1 in the match and lost 3-1 in the away match in Mexico. The committee has warned Inter Miami officials that they will face more severe action if the incidents repeat themselves in future matches.
