Inter Miami’s new stadium
Inter Miami CF announced on Wednesday that it will begin playing its home games at the Miami Freedom Park from 2026This news represents a significant step forward for the club, which has been working feverishly to make this project a reality. With the unveiling of updated renderings of their new home, enthusiasm among fans has only continued to grow.
“The next stages of the Miami Freedom Park project bring us closer to achieving our dream of making it a the official home of Inter Miami CF, embodying our motto ‘freedom to dream’. We have been diligently building something extraordinary, a place where every fan will treasure unforgettable football moments. As we look towards the opening of our new stadium, We look forward to creating a world-class venue “that reflects our passion, commitment and the collective dreams of our South Florida community.”
Miami Freedom Park aims to be A transformative project in Miamispanning 131 acres (530 thousand square meters). This new recreational destination will be anchored by a state-of-the-art football stadiumwhich will become the home of Inter Miami CF. In addition to being a soccer venue, the public park will span 58 acres (334 thousand square meters) and will be the largest active park in Miami, named in honor of Jorge Mas Canosa.
The Miami Freedom Park district also will include multiple facilities and services for the enjoyment of the community. These will include youth athletic fields, entertainment-focused retail and attractions, restaurants, hotels, shops, office space and an entertainment venue designed to host international superstars and stadium concerts.
“After years of dreaming, it is very exciting to share that in 2026, Inter Miami CF will move into its long-term home at Miami Freedom Park,” said David Beckham, co-owner of the franchise. ““It is the culmination of years of hard work and the desire to realize a vision and create a lasting legacy for the fans and community of Miami and South Florida. I am very happy to see that dream finally becoming a reality,” he said.
The construction of the first phase Miami Freedom Park is already underway and will be completed in stages from the end of 2025The club’s official statement highlighted that: “This phase will include the new stadium, public park, road and parking infrastructureand additional entertainment and hospitality concepts within the district.”
With this first phase, we seek to establish the bases of a multifaceted complex which will not only benefit the soccer team, but will also provide significant recreational space for the Miami community.
In a gesture that reflects the city’s support for the project, during the night of this Wednesday, Several Miami landmarks will be lit up in pinkincluding the Royal Caribbean terminal, the Hard Rock Guitar Hotel, the SLS Hotel in South Beach, the Paramount Tower, the Fly’s Eye Dome in the Design District and the Intercontinental Hotel. The pink lights are intended to symbolize support for Inter Miami CF, the current leader of the 2024 Supporters’ Shield and the MLS standings.
The second phase of the entertainment district at Miami Freedom Park will focus on the opening of additional entertainment and retail concepts, along with a curated selection of the best food and beverage concepts in Miami. This phase is scheduled to open in 2026coinciding with the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which adds a special appeal to the project.
Finally, the third phase will see the launch of more entertainment offerings, consolidating Miami Freedom Park as a multifaceted epicenter in the city.
