Inter spoke out on Monday night, through an official note, about the case of accusations of sexual harassment of the mascot Saci. A journalist filed a police report on Sunday, after Gre-Nal 441, in Beira-Rio, against a club employee. He will be away from activities during the investigation process.

The club reported forwarding the internal circuit images to the police, in addition to confirming the employee’s removal. The case is being investigated by the 1st Women’s Police Station in Porto Alegre.
In an interview with gejournalist Gisele Kümpel reported that she was sitting on the bench behind one of Beira-Rio’s goals and that during Gre-Nal she noticed strange behavior from the mascot, who made gestures towards her and even bent down to look at her cell phone .

“Regarding the record of an incident involving the figure of the mascot Saci, Sport Club Internacional informs that it forwarded the images from its internal monitoring circuit to the Police Station responsible for investigating the episode.
We trust that all facts will be duly clarified with the police authority. For this reason, and awaiting a quick resolution of the case, the employee responsible for the mascot and the Club itself will be at the disposal of the authorities. Until the procedure is completed, the employee will be removed from Saci’s representation.
Finally, Sport Club Internacional expresses its respect for the work of the entire press and repudiates any and all cases in which there is harassment or prejudiced expression.”
