The CEO Nerazzurri: “Lukaku loves the shirt and he’s doing very well here, but he’s on loan. He’ll return to Chelsea and we don’t know what will happen at that club. Frattesi and Scalvini? We’ve got our eyes on him”
19 days from the Champions League final and two from that of the Italian Cup, the managing director Giuseppe Marotta offers his vision of the Inter world in an interesting speech on RadioUno in the Radio Anch’io Sport programme, starting from the crucial appointment of Istanbul on 10 June: “We have nothing to lose, in sport you have to play every competition to the fullest. We have great respect for a colossus like Manchester City, but we are prepared to face a stronger opponent by fielding motivation, great attachment to jersey and great football organization”.
The bomber and the coach

After the umpteenth goal, for the CEO the Nerazzurri obviously couldn’t miss the questions about Romelu Lukaku’s future: “He loves the shirt he’s wearing, he fits very well at Inter and his desire to be with us is fundamental. But he’s on loan, he’ll return to Chelsea and we don’t know what will happen on a technical level in that club: we are at the window”. When the Belgian’s season took off, it was no coincidence that that of Inter and Simone Inzaghi also re-emerged: “You can’t judge a season from one game – continues Marotta -, but reaching the Champions League final is a source of great prestige, also for the coach, and Inzaghi deserves it. The assessment is extremely positive.” Even if the CEO of Inter Sport doesn’t deny that there have been hard days to overcome when the victories didn’t come: “There was a moment when things didn’t go well and therefore the internal debate was stronger, but always in the context of proactive criticisms – he added – Inzaghi has however shown that he is up to his role, his work is positive and is recognized by everyone within the club”.
The present of others and the Nerazzurri’s future
—
At the transfer market level, both Davide Frattesi and Giorgio Scalvini were often talked about: “They’re two very interesting young players like there are others – comments the CEO – . Italian football is the expression of truly pure talent. We are talking about two elements followed by many clubs, Inter have also set their sights on them but the level of negotiation at the moment is at a standstill. We need to pursue the enhancement of the Italian product, Italian football can express great values such as players, coaches, referees and managers. The most important investments are made in training centres, the relationship between the Federation and individual clubs, which is already excellent, must be even stronger. Talents exist in Italy and can compete with their peers throughout Europe.” . Finally, Marotta also comments on the telenovela on Luciano Spalletti’s stay or not in Naples, in the negotiation with Aurelio De Laurentiis: “I hope that for the good of football they continue to work together, they are two added values of our football. The fact that they can separate generates a bit of bitterness, but it is right to respect every evaluation they decide to implement. “,
