Inter-Lukaku, today the first summit: we need to reduce the salary

The Nerazzurri will listen to the Belgian’s lawyer, eager to return. If there is an agreement, it will then be up to Chelsea to open the loan or not

Romelu Lukaku wants to go back toInterhe is in a hurry to define his future and – despite the transfer market has not yet officially started (we start on July 1st) – he knows that time does not play on his side: for this reason, his trusted lawyer today, Sebastien Ledure, will meet the Inter management to see if there is room for wearing the Nerazzurri shirt again. A decisive first round to set up what, at the moment, still remains a very complex business, especially for economic reasons. The Belgian is willing to reduce his salary, currently receives 12 million euros net plus 3 in bonuses from Chelsea, up to go down around 7-9which in any case are beyond the limit imposed by Marotta (the top renewals, from Lautaro to Brozovic, have imposed a ceiling, excluding bonuses, of 6).

The obstacle could be circumvented by concluding theagreement by 30 June: Lukaku has kept his domicile in Milan and Italy remains the center of his interests, a fiscally very important aspect to maintain the advantages of the “Growth Decree” obtained by joining Inter in 2019. In this way, defining everything by a month, Suning would pay net the figure proposed by the Belgian but, gross, for better or worse, it would reach the numbers that the current top players in pink already perceive.

The joint, as we understand, is already difficult so even if what seems to be the most difficult part of the deal is missing: the Chelsea. The English club should inevitably open to a onerous loan (not biennial, since from July they will be prohibited for those over 21) with the right of redemption and this is the real step that Inter expects from Lukaku: force exit from the Blues. The known difficulty in dealing with Marina Granovskaia is relatively frightening since, after the sale of the club, it seems to be out but in reality it is above all to understand what the new owner Boehly will want to do. Yet Big Rom seems convinced and confident of being able to fit all the pieces of the puzzle together.
